Natalie Katona is a UK born textile artist who creates dreamy, romantic textile jewellery and art pieces. She explores different materials, sourcing vintage fabrics and jewellery, finishing each piece with hand embroidery to make each piece totally unique. “I know where I found every piece of lace, button or brooch. The fabrics are really important to me as they’ve often been in my family for years.”
She studied Embroidery at Manchester Metropolitan, but has been influenced by both sides of her families’ strong tradition of sewing, embroidery and a passion for history. These influences permeate her timeless textile pieces, her inspiration come from many places and times; historic military uniforms and medals to sentimental Victorian jewellery.
